My late husband Steve loved his coffee; and I don’t mean his morning cup of coffee. That man drank coffee all day and all night and somehow still managed to sleep at night. He also loved International Delight Coldstone Creamery coffee creamer. It was one of the few things he requested when I did the grocery shopping for his truck and I made sure to stock up on it when I caught a sale.

But, during the 2020 shortages, we had a really hard time finding it. So, I did what I do best and I went to the kitchen. What followed was this copycat recipe for a flavored creamer that tastes just like the now discontinued original!

Homemade sweet cream coffee creamer has a creamy taste tastes just like a rich and comforting scoop of vanilla ice cream with a hint of the sweet cream flavor you crave. Combined with the taste of a good cup of Joe, it’s almost like a dessert in your mug! If you too were a fan of the Coldstone version or the newer version – International Delight Sweet & Creamy, you’re going to adore this one too!

Even better? This homemade coffee creamer is ready to use in around ten minutes! It’s also perfect for using with cold brew coffee if you prefer iced coffee like I do. Once you taste this delicious goodness, your morning coffee routine will never be the same!

How to Store Homemade Vanilla Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer

Once you’ve made your homemade sweet cream coffee creamer, you’ll want to store it in an airtight container in the fridge. Use it within 7 for the best flavor. Or, if you won’t use it in time, freeze it for later. Since it does contain real milk and real cream, be sure to give it the sniff test starting at day 7 to be sure it hasn’t turned.

Before using, give it a good shake or stir to help recombine the ingredients.

Is Homemade Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer Freezer Friendly?

Yes. This copycat International Delight Coldstone coffee creamer can be frozen. Freeze in mason jars or use breastmilk storage bags. If you use a jar or bottle, be sure to allow enough room at the top for your creamer to expand as it freezes.

To use, thaw fully in the fridge and stir or shake well before using.
