Hi! Welcome to SixDollarFamily.com! I am so happy to have you join our community of Six Dollar Families!
I believe that it is possible to grow your bank accounts to six figures even if you only have $6.00 in your pocket through frugal living and wise decisions.
My goal is to help you achieve just that. To grow your bank accounts to six, seven or even eight figures. To help you save money in every aspect of your life. To provide you with the tools that you need to do just that. Whether that tool is an article jammed packed with ways to save money, budgeting help, a practical DIY to help you save, or a delicious recipe that helps your family budget out, you will find it here. In between all of that, you’ll find parenting tips, homeschool advice, natural and green living posts and even a post or three on emergency preparation. In other words, I have a lot to say about a lot of things to help you live well without sacrificing the quality you deserve. If this is your first time here, it can be pretty overwhelming. There is a lot of information here on Six Dollar Family so I’ve created this page to help try and ease some of that overwhelmed feeling and help you get started.
Step 1: Get to Know Us

I’m Stacy and I’m the one who runs Six Dollar Family. I am a recovering alcoholic, sober addict, and two-time domestic violence survivor. I am also the author of the book named after this blog, Six Dollar Family: From Six Dollars to Six Figures as well as several other e-books. You can read more about my story in my bio. She’s the kid and at 12 is more diva than she is little girl. She is homeschooled, loves to sing and play music, tries to crochet (but fails), and is one heck of a cook. She makes the best turkey that I have ever tasted in my entire life. The dog? That’s Campbell. Why Campbell? Because when he was a puppy, he got his head stuck in a can. Guess what kind? 🙂 Yes. He is as goofy and loving as he looks and yes, he really is that big.
Together the three of us are The Six Dollar Family.
Step 2: Connect With Us
Six Dollar Family updates often so we have tried to make it as easy as possible for you to stay connected with us.
First, you can subscribe to our email newsletter. When you do, not only will you receive our posts directly to your email so that you’re sure you’ll never miss a single one. I’ll also send you my “Ultimate Guide to Cutting Your Household Expenses” e-book for free when you subscribe as a thank you for being a member of our community.
We also share everything that we post (and then some) via the Six Dollar Family Facebook page so giving us a “like” over there is worth it too! You can also follow us on Twitter too if you’d like.Follow @SixDollarFamily

Step 3: Start building your own six figure family
I love saving money, but I am of the opinion that really building wealth is a lifestyle that must be lived and not something that can be done whenever the urge strikes. That means that there is a lot of content here on Six Dollar Family for you. Over 600 posts! You had better get started because you have a lot of catching up to do! Want a head start on those 600 posts? Here are some of our most popular reader favorites. They are a fantastic place for you to get started. If you’d rather just view all of posts, you can do that right here.
