While I love a good meal, sometimes? I really just want a quick and easy recipe that will feed the family without feeding them junk. We are a huge pizza family, but sometimes? A regular, plain old pizza just gets boring and I can’t have that. Boring leads to wanting to eat out and eating out kills our budget (Six Dollar Family). That’s where this Grilled Pepperoni Pizza Sandwich recipe comes into play. It’s so easy to make and is so good that you’ll never believe it was this easy to make! Plus? You’ll be hard pressed to find a more budget friendly recipe!

Quick, Easy and Oh So Good, this Grilled Pepperoni Sandwich recipe is PERFECT for when you need a quick dinner idea!

These sandwiches have all of the taste of homemade pizza without the work involved! You can fix an entire meal for the whole family is just a few minutes and there is no need to wait on dough to rise or the oven to preheat. Plus? They’re seriously good!

Grilled Pepperoni Pizza Sandwiches

These use Texas Toast as their base which in my opinion just makes them taste even better! The garlic in the toast really helps complete the entire sandwich!

You will need:

  • 8 tbsp Spaghetti Sauce (or use pizza sauce if you don’t have pasta sauce)
  • 1 box Garlic Texas Toast (8 slices)
  • 6 oz Pepperoni Slices
  • 8 oz Mozzarella Cheese Slices

To start, bake the garlic toast as directed on the box then cover (4) of the pieces with your favorite pizza sauce. We usually end up using around 1 Tablespoon of sauce per piece.

Cover each bottom piece with pepperoni. You can never have too much pepperoni so go ahead and lead each piece up.

Cover each piece with mozzarella cheese. Be sure to get a good amount on there so you can actually taste it. Rinse and repeat with the pepperoni and cheese then spoon 1 tablespoon of sauce on the top pieces and place on the sandwich.

Heat your griddle with a drizzle of olive oil until it’s hot. I use medium heat. Grill the sandwiches on both sides until the cheese is melted and their warm all the way through!

Enjoy with a side of sauce for anyone who might want more!
