There are a lot of scents that can remind us of Christmas – evergreen, peppermint and of course, Christmas cookie scents! There is just something about the smell of sugar cookies baking and the suspense of waiting to decorate them. That amazing smell is the reason this Christmas cookie sugar scrub recipe one of my all time favorites sugar scrubs!

Homemade sugar scrubs are a great way to add a bit of a spa treatment to your regular beauty routine. They are incredibly frugal to make and work to exfoliate your skin the same way the expensive ones do.

They also make a really great DIY gift idea for teens and those who love new beauty products!

I will be adding them to my own list of DIY gifts to make this year and can’t wait to see their reactions!

For reference, each batch will make two 4 oz jelly jars of sugar scrub.

You Will Need:

  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • ⅓ c.  olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp red, white and green holiday sprinkles
  • 15 drops Sugar Cookies Fragrance Oil
  • 4 oz jelly jars
  • red and green twine

If you are gifting the sugar scrub recipe, you’ll want to make sure you have a few 4 oz jelly jars and some red and green twine on hand.

Each jar should make close to two jelly jars meaning you can give a whole bunch of super cheap gifts without compromising on the quality of your gift!

Ready to see how simple this sugar cookie sugar scrub is to make?

Begin by adding the sugar to a small mixing bowl.

Add the olive oil and use a spoon to mix it well.

Next, add the red and green sprinkles and stir to combine well.

Finally, add the sugar cookies fragrance oil and combine the mixture very well.

Yes, you can add more or less of the scented oil if you prefer a weaker or stronger scent.
