Melt shea butter and coconut oil. If using the microwave, heat in 30-second increments until fully melted so you don't scorch the ingredients.
1/4 C. Shea Butter, 1/2 C. Coconut Oil
Place in freezer for 10-15 minutes just until solidified but not frozen solid.
Add to a larger bowl and beat on high for approx. 1 minute.
Beat on low for an additional 3-5 minutes or until you have a light, fluffy cream.
Add lavender essential oil and mix until well blended. Adjust the amount of drops until you get a scent strength that suits you.
30-50 drops Lavender essential oil
Spoon into jar and add lid.
Notes
To use: Use as a normal body butter or lotion. This is especially helpful at night to help you relax into sleep.
Because this has coconut oil in it, it will melt at temps above 72°F or so. In this case, storing it in the fridge is best. Allow to come to room temp for use.
If you do find it has melted, simply repeat the steps to whip it back up.
