Say goodbye to countless sleepless nights with our DIY Bedtime Balm with Lavender for Sleep. It's an all-natural remedy that combines the sleep-inducing benefits of lavender with the luxurious feel of a balm. Easy to prepare and fun to use, this DIY balm is a great way to add some sweet dreams to your bedtime routine.
Prep lip balm containers to be filled quickly while beeswax is melting. Measure coconut and sweet almond oils and set aside.
1.5 oz. Beeswax
Melt beeswax in a double broiler or in the microwave. If using the microwave, melt in 30-second increments and stir in between. Do not overheat.
Once beeswax is fully melted and clear in color, add the coconut and sweet almond oils. Stir to combine and melt the coconut oil. Combine until there are no lumps of coconut oil.
2 tbsp. Coconut Oil, 2 tsp. Sweet Almond Oil
Allow the mixture to cool 45-60 seconds then add each essential oil. Use a silicone spatula to mix the oils into the wax mixture until fully incorporated.
Quickly fill each container. It's important to move fast but steady. Your sleep balm with lavender will begin to set almost as soon as you fill a pipette.
Allow the containers to sit undisturbed with lid off for a minimum of 12 hours. Do not add the lids while cooling. This can create condensation which can lead to mold or mildew in your product. Once fully cooled, the ointment is ready to use.
To use, apply a small amount to your temples, back of your neck, wrists and even a dab under the nose or on the pillow will help.
