Thanksgiving Sides - Homemade Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water – about 110° F
  • 2 packages active rise yeast or 4 1/2 tsp active rise yeast
  • 1 ⁄2 cup melted butter
  • 1 ⁄2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 1 ⁄4 cups bread flour

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375° F.
  • Proof yeast and water for 5 minutes.
  • Use a wooden spoon to stir in proofed yeast, melted butter, eggs, salt and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  • Stir in flour, 1 cup at a time, until stiff dough forms.
  • Cover and chill dough for a minimum of 2 hours.
  • Divide dough into 24 equal pieces.
  • Place dough balls in greased 9x13 baking dish.
  • Cover and let rise 1-2 hours until dough balls reach a size you want.
  • Bake at 375° F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Brush with melted butter and serve warm.

Notes

Do not use quick rise yeast in this recipe.
