Are you going to London? Well, if this is your first time, you are just on the right page.  After all, a few handy tips are sure to help you plan your vacation more effectively, save money on travel and enjoy a great trip. You are at the epicenter of the world’s most interesting culture, architecture, and history. Book Cathay Pacific flights online and gets ready to embark on an unforgettable journey.

Londoners are friendly, but London itself can be confusing, especially for the first-timers. Before you take advantage of flights to London online booking platform and book a seat, why not spend some time to know more about the city and make your trip much smoother.

Always stand on the right and in a queue – Whether on the road or on escalators, stand on the right when travelling. Londoners love to be orderly and prefer to stand in a queue whether it is at a ticket machine or the toilet or the changing room.

Get an Oyster Card – As subways are the most popular means to get across London, buy the Oyster Card and  you can always refill your card when you run out.

It is faster to walk – At the time, you will discover that it is a lot faster to walk, and thus, one should resort to walking to avoid those queues or wait at a subway. Browse the London map to gauge the distances.

Pack wisely-Pack for all weathers when visiting London and you can experience all kinds of weather conditions like frost, snow, rain, drizzle, fog, and even sunshine within days. So, pack warm clothing as well as raincoats and brollies.

Go for the hop-on-hop-off bus tours – One of the easiest ways to get acquainted with the city is on those hop-on-hop-off bus tours. The tour will help you understand where everything is located, and they often come with a free river cruise.

Make the most of the museums – As most of the museums in London are free, one should take advantage of the free access and enjoy those magnificent museums and what they have to offer. Pick a museum based on what interests you, art, science, fashion, or more.

There is no need to tip – Tipping is not essential as it is always already calculated and added to your bill. Thus, whether you go to pubs, restaurants, or any other place for food or drinks, do not feel obliged to tip.

London Bridge and the Tower Bridge are different – The Tower Bridge is located near the Tower, and the London Bridge lies closer to the Parliament. Thus, do not get confused and be sure what bridge you are looking at.

Do enjoy a full English breakfast – It would be a mistake to come away without having the traditional English breakfast of eggs, bacon, beans, sausage, and grilled tomatoes. There are some café’s that have been serving the classic English breakfast since the 1900s.

Take advantage of the green spaces – London is full of green spaces and is well on its way to becoming the first National Park City of the world. Thus, make the most of those picture-perfect green spots on the way and spend some time here relaxing and unwinding in the lovely parks of London.

Explore London by bike – It is a great idea to sightsee London on a bike as the city is super bike-friendly. You can discover some of the most scenic cycling routes in the city, its ancient parks, and steep hill climbs.

Escape to the surrounding areas – You can often leave London once in a while and discover those innumerable scenic spots and sites around the city that are as beautiful and just a short distance away. You can head for a village or a beach as it a weekend getaway.
