If you are a woman over 35, you know how much your skin and body can change. These must have beauty and skin products for women over 35 are just what you need.
Life after 35 surprised me. Okay, let me clarify that a bit. My skin, hair and nails after 35 surprised me. One day I had people who had not seen me in years saying I had not aged a day and the next I had crows feel with dry skin, hyper-pigmented skin and a whole lot of grey hairs. Getting older is rough ya’ll and I for one do not like it one bit. Ultimately, what it led to was a list of products I can not live without and what I now consider to be must have products for women over 35.
It isn’t that I mind aging and getting older. It’s more that I just turned 38 and don’t want to look ten years older that I am. I mean despite what my teenagers think, 38 really is not that old.
Must Have Products for Women Over 35
But these products; ya’ll my skin and hair have never looked better! It’s even better that almost all of them are made from natural ingredients.
I hate chemicals. So much so that a few years ago I stopped THESE buying things to make them at home.
Now I do still make those things – and more – but I am also an incredibly busy business owner, wife and Mom so I don’t have time to make everything we use and that’s where these must have products for women over 35 come into play.
They are what I use when I don’t have time to make my own.
Beauty Products for Women Over 35
These are not in any particular order, but yes, for those wondering, I really do use them all. Some are not daily but they are a regular part of my routines.
Since I began using them, my skin looks both younger and healthier. Sometimes it even glows! My hair is healthier and growing quickly. My nails grow fast and strong.
They really have made a huge difference in how quickly my body is showing that I am aging. I actually look my age now; not a decade older.
Simply Earth Essential Oils
I love essential oils (Six Dollar Family) and have used them for quite some time, but I am extremely picky about which oils I will use. At the same time, I don’t want to to blow my budget on them either.
That’s the reason I adore Simply Earth essential oils. Not only are they very high quality, pure essential oils, but they’re super budget friendly.
I literally use Simply Earth (Six Dollar Family) oils everyday, all day long. On my body, in my favorite diffuser (HERE) and more. I use them in my DIY green tea and peppermint bath soak (get the recipe HERE).
After I turned 35 and self care became even more important, oils became incredibly important for my physical looks, my health and my state of mind.
Simply Earth products are really budget friendly on their own, but right now new customers will score a FREE Bonus box full of supplies like shown in the photo above and a FREE $40 gift card when they order through THIS link and use our exclusive coupon code 6DOLLARFAMFREE.
Mad Hippie Eye Cream
The area around my eyes was where I first noticed changes. My dark circles were darker. I developed crows feet. I lost collagen and elasticity around my eyes.
So I went looking for an eye cream that could help. I ended up trying four different ones before I finally found one that I love! In fact, you’ll notice that I love several of the products from this company and I’m positive you will too!
When I first tried Mad Hippie Eye Cream, I was pretty jaded from the other four I had tried. I honestly didn’t have high hopes.
But within a few days of starting the Mad Hippie Eye Cream, I saw better results. The elasticity around my eyes came back, bags under them started to go away and my dark circles weren’t quite as dark.
Mad Hippie Cleanser
As I said, I use several Mad Hippie products because they’re so awesome and the Mad Hippie cleanser is just as great as the eye cream.
I have trouble with any cleanser that gives my face a tingly or slightly burning feeling. Call it a sensory issue or whatever, but I simply can’t use them.
With the Mad Hippie Cleanser, I get a fresh clean face without any burning or tingling. It works fantastic to clean my face right down to the pores and leaves it feeling fresher than ever. It contains Jojoba oil, Green Tea, Orchid extract and more for a natural clean.
Mad Hippie Day Cream
A day cream should be light on your skin, but still moisturize and protect your skin. Most of the ones I have tried were either greasy or far too heavy for daily wear.
That is until I – again – settled on a Mad Hippie product.
I know I sound like a commercial, but I really do love the Mad Hippie brand enough that I use four different products.
The Mad Hippie face cream is perfect for a day cream. It’s lightweight, not greasy at all and since I’ve been using it, my face is brighter and smoother. It has Peptides, Argon Oil, Acai and more to give your face a naturally, cruelty free and non-GMO boost.
Since I began using it, my crows feet have begin to fade. It took around six weeks to begin to see results, but once I did, my skin really did look at least 5 years younger just from the changes this cream helped make.
Mad Hippie Night Cream
Until I tried the Mad Hippie Triple C Night Cream, I was dedicated to my Homemade Dry Skin Lotion recipes HERE. It may be a dry skin lotion recipe, but it’s packed with healthy skin nutrients that are great as a DIY wrinkle cream too. While I absolutely love my DIY cream, I do not always have time to make it. Right now is one of those times.
The Mad Hippie night cream is a perfect replacement. It’s an incredibly thick formula that is not greasy yet it spreads smoothly on your face and neck. In fact, a very little goes a very long way. I love how moisturized it makes my face feel each night!
I have long, naturally curly hair and the ends of it are hard to keep moisturized. If you’ve never dealt with naturally curly hair, when it gets dry, it gets frizzy.
The great thing about rosehip oil is that it’s great for both hair and skin. It’s been reported to help lessen dark spots on skin, it moisturizes hair and has been reported to reduce stretch marks.
In my case, I not only use it to help moisturize the ends of my hair, but also on my face to help with my hyperpigmenting.
Rose Argon Oil
We live in Texas so even with a high SPF sunscreen, it typically doesn’t last long. Because of this, both one of my daughters and I had sun spots and other sun damage.
Since Rose Argon oil not only helps with sun damage but also has anti-aging properties, I began to use it on my face, neck and Décolletag (upper chest). My sun spots began to fade and I truly do believe it’s been helpful in my face looking so much younger.
I prefer the Acure Radically Rejuvinating Rose Argon Oil. The smell is amazing, it’s super silky and goes on incredibly smooth. Again, I buy mine at Grove but if they are out of stock, I get it from Amazon.
Dark Spot Corrector and Remover
Like I said earlier, I have dealt with dark hypermigmented skin for decades. It never really bothered me until it became really bad after I turned 35.
So I started using THIS dark spot corrector (Amazon)and remover. It’s made with Glycolic Acid & Niacinamide and while it does take a bit of time to work, it absolutely does work. My dark spots are significantly lighter than they were before this product.
Seed Phytonutrients Hand Cream
Once I had the aging issues on my face under control, I moved to my hands. My hands were really rough from years of factory work before I started blogging.
And unfortunately, most hand cremes and lotions would not do anything to help. Like I said earlier, I prefer my own DIY dry skin location, but again; time.
Then I found the Seed Phytonutrients Hand Salve. It’s a thick and creamy hand cream made with Camelina seed oil, sunflower seed oil, coconut, safflower seed oil, castor seed oil, shea butter, jojoba seed oil and to be 100% honest with you?
It’s the best hand cream I have ever tried! Even with the factory and hard work damage on my hands, this stuff has made them soft and feminine again!
Rooted Beauty Sensitive Skin Facial Wipes
There are times in all of our lives when we just don’t have time to properly clean our face but a quick facial wipe can make all the difference.
The Rooted Beauty Facial Wipes are perfect for that. They clean extraordinarily well and don’t irritate my skin whatsoever. They are a bit smaller than I’d prefer since I prefer a larger wipe, but I can overlook the size because they are so gentle on my skin and remove makeup and other grime from my face.
As we get older, things start to…sag. I especially had an issue with the skin around my face starting to sag. A firming cream can help.
I fell in love with THIS one. I use it on my face, legs and other areas and within a month had started to see results. It’s made with collagen and other goodies that your skin needs.
M3 Naturals Anti Cellulite Massage Oil might just be magic in a bottle for cellulite. I use it on my arms, legs, thighs and belly.
My skin looks firmer in those areas and even younger.
Dead skill cells built up on your skin causes it to look aged, dry, flaky and more. Using an exfoliating brush can help reduce not only those issues but also ingrown hairs and more.
I personally prefer THIS one. It’s the perfect size for my hands and works to remove the dead skin cells extremely well.
With the exfoliating brush, I love to use sugar scrubs. Most of the time I use my DIY Sugar Scrub bars recipe, but I also absolutely love the Tree Hut Tahitian Vanilla sugar scrub.
Both smell amazing and work together with the brush to remove dead skin and get the circulation flowing in your skin.
Coconut oil has numerous health and beauty benefits so it just makes make sense to include it in a beauty regimen.
I use both solid and fractionated coconut oil almost daily. My favorite brand is Simply Earth coconut oil. It’s both pure and unrefined coconut oil and affordable at the same time.
Sometimes keeping yourself from aging involves more than just washing your face and putting on a fdace cream.
It can also involve reducing your stress and worry. Having a good planner helps me to reduce the amount of stress I feel from life sometimes.
For me, I adore my Happy Planner. It’s so customization that it fits whatever I need it to fit each month.
HTP-5 and Ashwagandha
In keeping with reducing stress, HTP-5 and Ashwagandha are both supplements known to help reduce stress as well as other benefits.
As I’ve said, stress can cause aging, bad sleep habits (which can cause aging) and even weight gain. By adding HTP-5 and Ashwagandha, I am helping my body fight the stress that can cause so many other problems.
Vitamin E is essential for health skin. While you can take it in supplement form, I prefer to drop a bit of Jason brand Vitamin E oil in my bathwater with some Simply Earth Lavender Oil.
Vitamin E oil helps to moisturize your skin. If you live in a dry climate during the summer or a cold climate during the winter, it can help save you from flaky itchy skin.
Beachbody on Demand
Let me be honest; I am quite lazy when it comes to fitness.
It’s more than that though; after 35 my endurance and body changed. Because of this, It took me quite a while to find a fitness program that I liked.
What I ultimately settled on was Beachbody on Demand. Not only are there a ton of different – and super fun – work outs but they’re also targeted based on fitness level. I love the yoga workouts and Country Heat is great for when I want something fun to do!
Tinkle Eyebrow Razors
Tinkle eyebrow razors might be the greatest things I’ve ever come across. Not only are they great for your eyebrows, but they’re great for trimming up bikini areas or other areas you might need to shave closely.
They can look scary but are incredibly easy to use and have a safety cover so it’s really hard to cut yourself with them.
I prefer to buy mine on Amazon. I can generally get a pack of 12 – which lasts forever by the way – for around $6.00
I am not one for monthly subscription boxes usually – aside from my Simply Earth box – but I adore my FabFitFun box every month.
It’s so much fun seeing what is in each box each month and the majority of my products are things that make my life better!

Gel Eye Liner Pencil
I’ve always been a bit halfway decent at makeup with the exception of one thing; eyeliner. As I’ve gotten older though, it’s become important to me to get better at it.
I have hooded and aging eyes. Eyeliner done right is the key to making them pop open again.
I will admit that I am horrible with liquid eyeliner and a pencil is too hard to do what I want. But; a gel eyeliner pencil is perfect.
I’ve tried a few but I absolutely fell in love with the Marc Jacobs Gel Eye Crayon. It glides super smooth and because they offer both a shimmer and a matte version, I can find just what I need.
It is a bit expensive, but a little goes a long way and sometimes quality just outshines quantity.
African Black Soap
Alright, no hate on the name please. This is actually what it is called. African Black Soap is called such because it’s made in West Africa from the ashes and peels of locally grown plants. My uncle was the one who turned me toward this amazing soap but these days, I won’t go without it.
It’s fantastic at not only giving you a clean that you can feel, but for acne and other skin irritations. I have bad redness issues on my face a lot of the time. This soap has immensly helped!
This is one thing on this list of must have products for women over 35 that I am very particular where I get it from. Etsy is the only place I will buy it. Why?
Because contrary to the name, black soap is not actually black. It’s brown. And Etsy is the only place I can find the true thing.
A Good Night’s Sleep
I saved this one for last because I want you to understand that this is by far the most important on this list of must have products for women over 35. I am horrible about getting enough sleep, but when I realized how rapidly I was aging, I made it more of a priority.
If you are feeling run down, are showing early signs of aging or just not feeling well about yourself once you turn 35, a good nights sleep is likely to help. Not getting enough sleep can not only make you feel exhausted, but your face to show aging quicker, weight gain, higher stress levels and so much more.
So in other words; go to bed when you’re tired! 🙂
