Getting married? Before you spend a small fortune on wedding stuff, see what you can get for FREE! Weddings are expensive enough without paying for things you don’t have to! I’ve rounded up a HUGE list of FREE wedding samples, bridal freebies, and other goodies that could help you save some serious cash while planning your big day. Some of these are things you probably wouldn’t even think to look for! Why pay full price when you might be able to get it free? Check out the list before you start spending!
When my late husband and I got married in 2019, I wasn’t looking to spend a ton of money. In fact, I barely wanted to spend any at all. It wasn’t a first wedding for either of us, so we simply didn’t see the point. We had a beautiful ceremony, but a very small and private one. My dress came from Torrid and my girl’s dresses came from consignment shops. His clothes came from Goodwill believe it or not. We got married in a tiny shed that a lovely woman had converted into a small chapel for weddings only at a cost of $50. It was beautiful and perfect for us.
But small, private and cheap isn’t always right for everyone. And you know what? I think that is perfectly okay. Every bride and groom should have their dream wedding if it is at all possible and saving as much money as you can and where you can is the way to do that.
Ways to Save Money for Your Wedding
Saving money on your wedding doesn’t have to be one of those situations where you are constantly banging your head against the wall trying to figure out how to do “more” to save. There are a lot of ways you can save money on your wedding that don’t just include the wedding freebies on this list. I know that it can seem hard to do, but if you really get creative and you buckle down to become determined to have a wedding on a budget, you can absolutely do it.
Ways to Earn Extra Money for Your Wedding
Another way to plan your wedding on a budget is to earn all of the extra money and free gift cards that you can. There are quite a few ways to earn extra money that you could use as side hustles to earn extra money.
Personally, I earned free gift cards with both Swagbucks to cover supplies. It allowed me to shop on Amazon without having to worry about out of pocket costs too much. Of course, you would still want to shop for deals before paying; gift card or not.
Sign up for Swagbucks HERE and you’ll be able to earn points for free gift cards or Paypal cash. Earn points by searching the web, playing games, watching videos and more. Plus they will give you $10 FREE when you do! Payout can be instant but up to 10 days depending on your account level.
You could even start your own blog like this one. I personally recommend new bloggers use Bluehost for hosting. It’s cheap and reliable. In fact, use THIS link and you can get started for as little as $3.79 per month. You must use that link to get the exclusive pricing I just quoted you. You even get a free domain name!
Once you get signed up with them, head HERE to learn how to create your blog.
If you started early enough in your engagement, you could easily pay for most of your wedding supplies with the cash or gift cards you earn. It is very easy to earn gift cards and use those gift cards to buy supplies for DIY wedding decor and supplies. In fact, this is one of the best ways you can save money on your wedding hands down.
One last thing before we jump into these free wedding samples. This post has been on-going since 2014. At this point it has outlived a failed engagement in my life, my wedding to my husband, his death, my own trucking career and so on. I try to keep it updated once a month, but sometimes it is longer between updates.
The free wedding samples below are free at the time of posting. I can not guarantee that they will stay that way. I do try to keep it updated, but sometimes one slips through the cracks or I just overlook it. Life does get in the way sometimes. If you do happen to find a freebie that is no longer free, would you be so kind as to leave me a comment and let me know so that I can remove it from the list?
