Birthday Cake Dip Recipe

There are just some things in life that have the ability to make us all turn into little kids again. Fireworks for instance. For the vast majority of us, the sparkling and colors way up in the sky has the ability to turn us all into oohing and ahhing kids who can’t wait to hear the next one go boom. Birthday cake is another. Am I right?! We all love to see the awesome designs and the taste? There is no other like it…well that is until this Birthday Cake dip is made. 🙂

This is SO easy to make and yes, it’s that same perfect birthday cake taste we’re used to! It honestly whips up in less than 5 minutes (give or take of course) and should run you less than $5.00 to make! Let the kids help make it up and serve it at your next party or family night! We like to use gummy bears to dip in it, graham crackers are awesome, vanilla wafers add a special “kick” to it and marshmallows rock too! The possibilities are endless!

You Will Need:

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened (8 oz package)
  • ½ cup butter, melted (as with all of the recipes I post, I highly suggest using real butter and not margarine)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup Funfetti Cake Mix
  • Sprinkles
  • Vanilla wafers, graham crackers, gummy bears, marshmallows and other dippable items

Directions:

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar and cake mix with an electric mixer.

Mix well for a few minutes until it begins to whip. Careful with this stuff. Anyone that makes frosting can tell you that the more you whip cream cheese and powdered sugar, the more you end up with…lol.

Once you’ve got a good whip happening, add in the vanilla and melted butter.

Whip it. Whip it good! (yes, I did go there…had to be done. 😉 )

Make sure your vanilla and butter is combined well and chill.

Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Top with sprinkles in the colors of your choice (we use rainbow sprinkles! Yay!) before serving and enjoy!

See? I told you! Ridiculously simple! SO stinking good though! I don’t think it needs to be said, but this is not exactly the most….diet friendly recipe. Enjoy in moderation, but enjoy. What are you planning on dipping with this?
