Homemade Almond Turtles

  • 1 tablespoon salted butter
  • 1-1/2 cups unsalted almonds
  • 1 cup of caramel bits
  • 1 cup chocolate chips


  • In a large sauce pan, melted a tablespoon of butter on medium heat
  • Pour your almonds into the melted butter
  • Cook and stir continuously on medium heat until your almonds start to pop
  • Pour your almonds onto a cutting board or plate to cool
  • Melt your caramel and chocolate in separate microwaveable bowls for 2-3 minutes on 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds
  • Group about 3 or so almonds together on a piece of parchment paper, scoop a 1 teaspoon of melted caramel onto your almonds, then 1 teaspoon of melted chocolate onto your caramel
  • Let your turtles sit for about 20 minutes to cool, then they are ready to enjoy
