  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup oil


  • Preheat oven to 400°
  • Combine dry ingredients in a medium sized mixing bowl. Add the wet ingredients and mix just until combined. Pour into a greased 8x8 baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
