Easy Pulled Pork Sandwich Recipe {Crock Pot Recipes)

  • 3.5 cups
  • 1 large white onion
  • 2 lb pork tenderloin
  • 1/4 cup real honey
  • 18 oz bbq sauce 2 cups, 2 oz
  • Sea Salt and black pepper


  • Start by rinsing your pork loin in cold water (to remove blood, etc) and place in your crockpot. Then, slice your onion into large slices and toss in the crock.
  • Next, pour 2.5 cups of the root beer over the pork loin and onions.
  • Season with salt and pepper then cook on low for 6 hours.
  • Once your meat is cooked thoroughly, remove it from your crock and place it on a baking sheet. Using a fork, shred the pork into whatever sized pieces you prefer.
  • After the pork is shredded, combine the BBQ sauce, honey and the rest of your root beer in a small mixing bowl.
  • Pour over your shredded pork and toss to coat it. You don’t have to get every single piece, but try to make sure that the majority is covered. Place your cookie sheet into a 400 degree oven and bake for 20-30 minutes or until your pork is a tad bit crispy. You don’t absolutely have to bake it, but it really does “finish” the meal.
  • Serve on a warm bun and enjoy! If you’d like, you can add a few of the onions from the crockpot to your sandwich too!
