Investing in Bitcoin when you don’t have the money to do so is so frustrating if you don’t have the equipment needed to mine Bitcoin. There is a different way for those who want to get started investing in Bitcoin. Let me show you how to get Bitcoin without mining and yes! They’re all legit!
Before you begin investing in Bitcoin, you should know the risks involved with it and should resolve to put few rules in place.
If not, you could easily find yourself losing your shirt.
Things to Know About Bitcoin Investing
First and foremost, know that investing in crypto currencies is considerably more risky than investing in the stock market. While cryptos are becoming more mainstream, they are still not an “official” currency yet.
This means there is literally zero protection for you.
Secondly, you need to be fully aware that cryptos are extremely volatile. The stock market is volatile as well, but cryptos are more so. This means you stand a far better chance of losing money than you do with stocks.
To keep this from happening, whether you’re investing in free Bitcoin you’ve earned or with money from your bank account, never invest more than you can afford to lose. If that amount is only $5.00 then so be it. If you can’t afford to lose anything, stick to finding legit ways to get free Bitcoin before buying Bitcoin.
How to Start Investing in Bitcoin
Before you even start working on getting free Bitcoin, you will need to have a Bitcoin wallet. There are a lot of ways to do this, but I currently recommend Coinbase for a couple of reasons.
First, Coinbase gives new uses up to $30 in free crypto (Bitcoin and others). What I did when I first signed up was to get all the free crypto they would give me and then converted it all to Bitcoin. This is a great way to start investing in Bitcoin with zero money out of pocket.
Here’s how to get the free crypto from Coinbase:
The second reason I recommend Coinbase is the number of crypto trading options they offer and the fact that they have lower trading fees than I’ve seen elsewhere.
You can , of course, use any Bitcoin wallet you choose, but like I said, I highly recommend Coinbase.
Are there any other legit ways to get free Bitcoin without mining?
Yes! There are! One of my own personal favorite ways to get free Bitcoin is by using InstaGC! While I normally use InstaGC to earn free gift cards online, I also use it these days to get free Bitcoin.
It works pretty simply:
- Sign up for an InstaGC account here.
- Confirm your account after you sign up to get 10 points ($0.10) free.
- Complete offers, watch videos, take surveys and more to earn points.
- Once you reach $10.00 in points – which does not take long at all – cash your earnings out as Bitcoin, Paypal cash or gift cards. Both Paypal and gift cards are paid instantly, however, Bitcoin does take 2-4 days to be processed.
I have been a member of InstaGC for several years and have been paid hundreds of times. They are 100% legitimate and a great way to add to your stash of Bitcoin without paying any money out of pocket.
Get Free Bitcoin for Playing Games
Surveys and lessons are not the only way to get free Bitcoin. Turns out, you can actually get free bitcoin for playing games too!
Both of these have paid me personally. They do take a day or two and you won’t get rich on them, but they’re great if you are just trying to kill some time.
With that said, be warned that they are ad heavy. This makes sense as they are paying you in Bitcoin to play. I am personally okay with it, but you may not be. Just do not yell at me because I recommended them and you don’t like the ads. Both of these require you to have a Coinbase Bitcoin Wallet.
Earn Free Bitcoin Playing CryptoWords
If you like Scrabble or Words with Friends, you will like Cryptowords. Connect letters to form words to score points. Your points are converted to Bitcoin.
Earn Free ETH with Cryptopop
Cryptopop is a fun game where you pop boxes in sets of three or more. While this one does not pay in Bitcoin specifically, it does allow you to get free Ethereum without mining. If you are unfamiliar, Ethereum is another cryptocurrency. You can then convert it to Bitcoin or leave it as ETH to earn that way as well.
So there you have it; four different ways you can score Bitcoin without mining. Will you use any of these to pad your wallet? Do you have any others that I don’t have? I would love for you to share them if so! I’m always looking for new ways to add to my own stash!
