You don’t need boatloads of cash to have a good time with your squad. Here are fun things to do with friends without busting your budget (Six Dollar Family).

Just because you’re on a budget, you don’t want to stop going out with friends. Finding fun things to do with friends doesn’t mean you have to break the bank.

Cheap things to do can be just as fun as things you pay hundreds of dollars to do. Continue reading this article and we will give you some great weekend ideas for things to do with friends.

1. Escape Rooms

When you visit an Escape Room, you’ll definitely get your money’s worth. If you’ve ever wished that you could be in an action movie, this is coming pretty close to it.

You’ll be able to enjoy different scenarios and have to use your smarts to get out in time. There’s no shame in the game if you don’t win, but if you do — you can brag about it.

2. Movie Night

You’ve got a lot of options when it comes to renting the latest and greatest movies. You don’t have to pay the big bucks to go to the theater since many of the services like Netflix, Redbox, Amazon Prime and more will allow you to rent these movies for a fun night with friends.

You can set up a projector in your backyard and have a fun movie night that everyone will look forward to.

3. Game Night

Whether you’re playing Xbox, Wii or board games, there are games for everyone’s taste. You might even decide you want to play some hoops out in the driveway if you have the setup.

A little competition never hurt anyone but it definitely can get the blood pumping and the playful jabs going.

4. Festivals

At any given time, there are likely festivals happening in your area from food festivals or music (Six Dollar Family) festivals. Pull up Facebook or your city’s event calendar and see if you can find a festival that you and your friends can agree upon.

5. Hikes

There are likely many places in your own backyard that you’ve never explored. Not only are hikes a great way to get out into nature but they’re an amazing way to bond with friends and have fun while getting some exercise into your routine.

Make sure you pick trail difficulties that everyone will be able to do. You don’t want to have to leave anyone behind because they can’t hack the hike. If your group is full of newbie hikers, you might want to choose the easy trails that have a  big payoff.
