Why Paying Your Bills Late is Breaking Your Budget

Are you late on your bills? If so, you're breaking your budget! Find out why and how to fix it!

When is the last time you paid your bills late? Recently? For most people the answer to that question is recently. Did you realize that paying those bills late is busting your budget? How you ask? Late fees. Every single time you pay a bill late, you’re costing yourself more and more with those late fees. Thinks about it! If one bill costs you $5.00 every month that its late and you pay it late every month for a year? You’ve just cost yourself $60.00! Now multiply that by every bill that you have! I don’t know about you, but for me? That is an insane amount of money coming out of my pocket every year. For  Mr. AIC and I, we’re trying to achieve financial peace and stability. Financial peace is something that I need in my life. I’m a worrier and if I don’t have it? ALL I do is worry! The first step we’re taking to do that is to make sure that we’re paying our bills on time, every month. By doing this, we’ve started to build  our emergency fund back up (we recently had to use it for an emergency) and to save every single one of those late fees to help fund that emergency fund.

Capital One 360 is a great place to start and its where we’re looking at starting out journey too! I love that both the checking and savings accounts are fee free AND that they both earn interest. The Capital One 360 mobile app makes depositing my paychecks a breeze and I am really, REALLY digging on the automatic savings plan they offer too! It should make saving all of those late fees? A snap!

Plus? Right now the Capital One 360 Black Friday Sale is going on and its a doozy! Through November 30, 2014, you can earn bonuses when you open new accounts and meet the minimum terms! You can even earn a bit of extra cash with it too by referring your friends to them! $40.00 per referral!

I know that saving money, cutting your expenses and planning for your future isn’t really on your mind right now. Its the holidays and most of us are planning gift lists, shopping and spending time with family, but while you may have gifts, greetings and get-togethers on the brain, it’s important not to lose sight of your financial goals. All of Capital One 360’s Black Friday Sale deals are designed to encourage consumers to keep their finances top of mind.

You can check out the details of the Capital One 360 Black Friday Sale on the Capital One 360 website. Tell me, what plans do you have to gain some financial peace in 2015?
