How I (Finally!) Fixed My Sleep Problems!

For over 10 years, I've had issues sleeping. No more! Now I'm sleep better than I have in 10 years and I fixed it with just one simple change!

Ever have one of those days where you just don’t feel like getting out of bed? The last month of my life has been like that. Why? Well, because I got a new mattress topper! I am really not one to buy extras for my bed, but let me tell you, this thing may just be the greatest thing to ever happen to my sleep schedule. If you’ve been around Adventures in Coupons for a while, you’ve no doubt heard me talk about my sleep schedule. If you’re new? Let’s just put it this way; my sleep schedule is whacked. Some nights I don’t sleep at all, some I sleep too much and other times, I go weeks on a normal sleep pattern.

I’ve literally tried everything under the sun to sleep like “normal” people do. I’ve done ZZZQuil, Melatonin, Lavender sprays, warm milk and more. They all work for a night or two, but by the third night, I’m back on the roller coaster that is my typical schedule.

Hairy hubby hand!

So needless to say, since I’m always looking for ways to sleep, I was thrilled to have the chance to review the Snuggle-Pedic Memory Foam mattress topper! I’ve never owned a memory foam topper before so I will say I was a bit apprehensive at first. My schedule can be so fickle that even going to bed 10 minutes late can throw it off, so I was concerned that adding a topper to my routine would be so different that I wouldn’t sleep at all.

Let’s just say this: I was so worrying for NO reason! I haven’t slept this well in over 10 years!

The Snuggle-Pedic Memory Foam Mattress topper is a patented four and five pound dual layer topper. It has 2 different layers that allow you to choose whether you want a firmer sleep or a softer one. We opted for the soft side and oh…my…goodness! We have a pillow top mattress, but over the year or so that we’ve had it, the pillow top had started to do what most pillow tops do…sag and flatten. Needless to say, my once soft and comfy mattress really wasn’t anymore. Don’t let the size of this bad boy discourage you. It’s honestly better made and better “feeling” than the huge 5″ topper my mother in law has.

Now? That isn’t an issue! My memory foam topper saved the day! Now when you sit or lie down on our bed, you sink into a cloud of fluffy goodness that surrounds you. The memory foam conforms to our bodies meaning we’re being supported in every spot of our body. I’ve slept so well, every single night since we got it! Even after almost 6 weeks of use, it still pops right back out when one of us gets out of bed. (Seriously, I had to use the photo below to show you because it pops out too quick for my camera to catch it).

The best thing? There’s no bouncing around when one of us moves! Tom can toss and turn all night if he wants and I don’t move with him like I did when we had just the mattress!

I never thought that making one change like this would change my life the way it has, but it did! My sleep is restful, it’s sound and I am so happy with my topper. We actually love it so much that we will actually be getting one for Emma here shortly!

The Snuggle-Pedic Memory Foam Mattress topper is available in twin, twin XL, full, queen, king and California King sizes and starts at just $89.99! For that price? This is a steal and a purchase that I am 100% certain you will not regret! You can check them out for yourselves on Amazon. They also have a memory foam pillow that is JUST as awesome and worth every penny! The two combined together are pure Heaven and are why I don’t want to get out of bed in the mornings! 🙂

*I received this product at a discount or free in exchange for my review, however all thoughts are my own and are my 100% honest opinion. For more information, please see my disclosure policy.

  1. I’m curious: Do you sleep on your back? I’m a stomach sleeper and I was told memory foam would be a bad idea for me. I have similar sleep issues. I’m currently on a 36 hour awake/10 hour sleep pattern. I’m hoping a down pillow topper is going to help.

    • Jenn, I am a stomach sleeper for the most part….even when I was 9 months pregnant with my daughter…lol. Try the memory foam pillow I have linked in this post too. That was what I added first and it made a HUGE difference.

  2. Ally's grandma says:

memory foam with dual adjustable remot control has helped me tremendously, but too hard for DH. Soft topper would be perfect for him!

  3. Theresa says:

Thank you for the information! I’ve been hesitant to go with memory foam because it gets really hot. I have a memory foam pillow that feels cool when I first go to bed, but gets hot after a short time. Do you have this problem with the mattress topper?

    • Theresa,

We use a sheet on it and don’t have any issues with it getting hot at all. It really is the best investment we’ve made in a LONG time for our bedroom.
