Are you planning on seeing the new Peanuts Movie? If so, make it a pizza night! This easy to do Woodstock Pizza art is fun for the kids and easy enough for them to do!

Are you planning on seeing the new Peanuts Movie? We are and we’re super excited! The Peanuts Movie premieres in theaters Nov. 6, 2015 and yes, I may have already ordered my Fandango gift cards in anticipation! We’re all huge fans of The Peanuts and the movie will make a fantastic family outing for us all. Who is your favorite Peanuts character? Mine is (I would hope it was obvious) Woodstock.

If you’re as big of a Peanuts fan as we are, you may want to consider running over to your local Albertsons! As an official sponsor of The Peanuts Movie, Albertsons has partnered with them to create not one, but two, new and custom 2015 Trick or Treat Bags to celebrate the release of the movie! These two collectible bags are available only at your local Albertsons store (while supplies last)! You can get your own bag when you purchase any 3 of the participating products below:

  • Horizon Organics
  • Coke (Honest and Pure Leaf)
  • Nestle
  • Johnsonville
  • Ziploc
  • Johnson & Johnson
  • All
  • Tyson
  • Pop Secret
  • Snack Pack (ConAgra)
  • DPSG
  • Schwan’s (Red Baron’s)
  • Rich Products (sugar cookies and cakes in the deli)
  • ACH Foods/Spice Islands
  • Bertolli/Ragu
  • Kellogg’s

I grew up on Red Baron pizzas. In fact, I used to tease my Dad that he looked like the Red Baron when he was younger so naturally when I was asked to make something for Albertsons and The Peanuts Movie, I went back to my old favorite! This Woodstock pizza art is based off of the way Woodstock looks in the new movie and while it isn’t exact? It certainly works! It’s super easy to do and the kids will have a blast making theirs before the movie!

You Will Need:

  • 1 Red Baron Cheese Pizza (We used the Red Baron Brick Oven Cheese Trio)
  • Shredded Colby or Cheddar Cheese in a regular shred
  • Shredded Colby or Cheddar Cheese in a fine shred – You won’t need much of this shred.
  • Pepperoni
  • Black Olives
  • 1 printed photo of Woodstock to use as a guide

Start by removing your pizza from the box and plastic. We made ours on a table before we put it on the rack. I wouldn’t suggest doing that since it was incredibly hard to move in tact. Instead, put the pizza on the oven rack first so that you can just life it up and go.

Next, lay your outline in the middle of your pizza to make sure it fits. We were pushing it on size here, but I think it worked out okay.

Using the pepperoni’s, fill in around the outside of your paper guide the best that you can. You may need to cut a few pieces of pepperoni to really get into the tight spaces.

Carefully remove the paper guide and re-position any pepperoni that moved when you did it. Outline Woodstock using the black olives.

Fill in the outline with cheese. Use the regular shred for his body and feathers and the fine shred for his hair. Yes, Woodstock’s new look includes curly hair!

Add 2 more black olives for his eyes and cut 4 black olives in half to create his smile. Pop in the oven and heat according to the directions on the Red Baron box!

Easy peasy, right?! The Peanuts Movie hits theaters November 6, 2015. If you haven’t viewed The Peanuts Movie Trailer, I would highly recommend it! It looks like it will be fantastic! You can also enter to win too! Enter to win a trip to see Snoopy’s House in California or a Peanuts Movie Themed Xbox Console and Game!
